Yes I know, I tested it. It will do. Just that its not as convenient as with windows explorer. Bit of an annoyance to have to reach deeply nested files.

Thanks, good to know. Was kind of hoping for a more convenient feature like Aomeis "explore image" option where you can mount it and browse/search it with windows explorer.

One feature that Hasleo lacks is option to explore the image. Sometimes you just want to copy an important file rather than restore the whole image, so that can be a deal breaker. Aomei used to have that in their free version before they took it away.

I dont think it will be free forever. Its become as good or better than some commercial alternatives. Only a matter of time before they charge for it. They will probably add a few more features, bloat to justify charging for it in future versions. Or take away some existing features in free...

I use Dism++, a GUI for Dism that automatically finds/uses the image of your windows installation and gives you all the options available with Dism.

Actually glad this issue happened. It allowed me to find a better and more customizable task manager (Process Hacker) which has option to replace 11's task manager.

I've had that issue with "inaccessible boot device" with Aomei, but only when migrating an OS to a new SSD. It never bothered me because its easy to fix. All I have to do is boot a WinPE flash drive with DISM++ on it and select the OS drive then fix boot and done.

Agreed. Regardless of how many votes are cast in favor of a certain product vs others, its the familiarity and experience with a given product that ultimately sways the votes. Unless all the voters tried all the alternatives with equal time and user experience, the votes dont carry much weight...

Prefer the Win 11 start menu as is vs any of the current modifying options out there. The most perfect menu I've used so far is the Win 10 one. Far more polished than the others and has one important feature that 11 does not have which is its expandibility. You can drag its corners out to...

Never used it. Because its features were too limited with no option to backup partitions or OS. I believe only option it had was to backup whole PC, lol.

MS could if not not trying to exclude other backup solutions. Edge or av-malware protection of Defender are included without upsetting the EU. Plus they had a backup solution before but apparently was just not good enough to continue with.

Latest free version of Aomei Backupper (Std) is 6.9.2. Must be very recent they took out the explore image option because 6.9.1 has it.

If you have a dual boot system, you wont need a boot USB. Much more convenient in troubleshooting whichever OS is down from the other.
