The main use case is more easily getting particular icons for each size like how Windows handles it - which I haven't found any other tool doing properly that made...
Actually the PSD already contained a "hidden" effect on each that does that very thing. Just toggle the visibility and you can see the treatment I gave for the Proton folder.
While I'm at it, I might as well share the source files for the front and back folder parts on separate layers.
This allows creating custom folders to be very easy if you want one color for the back and a gradient or separate color for the front.
