  1. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

My setting is and has always been that. I still have the problem, and the LAN is a mix of Windows versions, W10 Pro and W11 Home 24H2. NET VIEW only works when looking at individual machine sharenames. Oh, my Router has a connected USB Shared external drive attached. Net View on my PC (W11...
  2. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

@pseymour, I forgot about my 'old' post on TP-Links forum, You can see it here. Started in Oct., and initially was due to the new F/W, and then 24H2 installed and that problem changed. Even now, not using IPv6 no longer works. During the remote connect with TP-Link, the older F/W was installed...
  3. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

@pseymour, Thanks, seems it is too late to edit. Was able to look at the code (Inspect) and delete the capture though. Seems there is a time limit when one can edit, as I can edit this one. Here is the replaced capture if anyone needs to see it in #121: For what it is worth, I'm way ahead...
  4. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

Brink, that is for W10. Slightly different SMB1 options on W11. I've done all that though, and even turning off SMB1 signing. Something is wrong, many many similar messages on the web with the 24H2 drop of W11.
  5. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

Ahh, but I get a different result: =========== C:\>nbtstat -a tp-share Bluetooth Network Connection: Node IpAddress: [0.0.0.0] Scope Id: [] Host not found. Wi-Fi: Node IpAddress: [192.168.68.65] Scope Id: [] NetBIOS Remote Machine Name Table Name Type...
  6. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

I was able to get onto my wife's Win10 Pro PC... Net View produces the same 6118 error... However, in Windows Explorer, her PC can see BOTH her PC and mine, but NOT the USB drive on the Router: So, everything worked fine before 24H2 was put on my PC. Both of us could see a 3 shares. Now, we...
  7. Win11 24H2 Installed, now no network sharing

I've been fighting this forever... 24H2 Build 26100.3624 Home version. 2 other devices on the LAN, wife's W10 Pro and Router USB drive ALL devices can be seen with NET VIEW \\device name or IP address. NET VIEW command on W11 and W10 machines fail: =========== C:\>net view System error 6118...
  8. Latest Intel Wi-Fi Driver for Windows 11

I've got the Intel BE200 WiFi 7 M.2 Adapter. On W11 and a WiFi 7 router. Connects and works fine, BUT when I run Intel's Driver and Support Assistant, it DOES not show in the list of devices. I complained in the Intel Wireless forum, and all I got was a question on my h/w. When I gave that, it...
  9. Solved Looking for feedback from people who have actually used WiFi 7

There is a lot of overhead on 2 PC's playing into the 'speed' you are seeing. PC's CPU's differences, RAM sizes and speeds, not to mention the disks, mechanical vs. SSD's. If you want to measure PC to PC speed over the LAN, check this web page for choices, Three More Ways To Measure Network...
  10. Solved Looking for feedback from people who have actually used WiFi 7

Yes, know that. It is the MLO SSID that would show both bands in use. See, I am not on the Release Preview Canary build, and as far as Windows is concerned (as pasted in above) it only sees the 5Ghz. Canary will show all if using MLO. The Wifi7 router I'm using now does NOT have a 6Ghz band...
  11. Solved Looking for feedback from people who have actually used WiFi 7

Once you have a router AND a PC that can transfer TCP/IP packets as fast as the ISP can handle them, you can't increase speed on the LAN between the ISP and your PC. That is if your ISP only provides 40Mbps down, AX speed PC is overkill. You can't go faster to/from the ISP. Now between...
  12. Solved Looking for feedback from people who have actually used WiFi 7

I've got the Intel BE200 as well, popped out an Intel AX1650i and the base speed improvement with a WiFi 6 router was minimal... My ISP speed is 1Gbps/40Mbps by the way. I have 2 WiFi 7 routers that I tested on. One is a 'true' Wifi7 router in that it is a Tri-band and on the 6Ghz band I get...
  13. Show off your internet speed!

1Gbps Down/40Mbps Up, Spectrum Service. Wireless, WiFi7 Deco Router, 6Ghz SSID.
  14. Win11, Net View Problem on LAN, W10 and W11 differences

I have 'Googled' for the Error 53, and tried every possible suggestion/correction. All I could find and what they pointed to are CORRECT? I have replaced the Router, and I think it was working before. 2 basic problems, both W11 Home and W10 Pro when the CMD line NET VIEW is used get and Error...
  15. System Settings crash when trying to see what Optional Updates there are?

Darn, found this today, From it: Going back to where I was this morning... maybe MS will fix it some day and I'll see if the 'search' for it works.... Sheesh...
