Here's a link to a crappy workaround until there's a better option. Better than nothing: I found how to remove store results if anyone is interested and how-to-remove-the-store-results-from-the-start-menu Note: I'm not the author.

This is new. LSA EventID 6167 - " There is a partial mismatch in the machine ID. This indicates that the ticket has either been manipulated or it belongs to a different boot session. Failing authentication."

Installed on two systems - now I can't RDP or access any files shared on either FROM other machines. Systems will not accept the Microsoft account credentials. Both have the windows hello restriction disabled. Connecting to unpatched systems works fine. Anyone else have this problem? Just to...

As a potential enhancement, for Pre-release versions like this one, would it be possible to add a Preview or Pre-release badge to the post title for clarity?

Leaving an update here in case anyone else runs into this issue. Windows Sandbox prevented this update from installing for me (and apparently several others). Removing windows sandbox and rebooting allowed this update to install successfully.

Unable to install on my system (tried several times). Eventlog also shows: Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800703F9: 2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040529).
