Latest Samsung Magician Software Released

New Samsung Magician Software version 8.0.0 released. See first post for more details.

Need to "check for updates" for now until available to download at Samsung.

- New features include:

 Newsroom - You can view all the YouTube and Instagram contents related to Samsung memory products.
 System Details - You can view all the details of BIOS, Motherboard, Operating System and Drive related information.
 Notice - You can view all the Software and Firmware update related notices

Anyone else had to reboot to get the notification area icon back after the update finished?

I rebooted after install anyway, as I installed a few things at the same time, and I don't let it run automatically, but when I did run it manually, it worked fine.

Safe to say, though, that yeah, it probably needed a reboot to work correctly.

Looks like my old W7 laptop is stuck at version 7 then....

I am seeing that it takes a long time for the latest Samsung Magician to Start with Win 11, and Defender just tagged it and removed the automatic Start in Services. Anyone else having this issue??

I use the portable version, and yes, it took long to start up, but mine was not flagged by Defender. Probably a temporary FP for Defender.

v8.0.0, verified both in app and via Updates in-app.

Where can one get the portable version?

Ahh, my bad - I have magician installed. I have Sabrent's portable software for my Sabrent drives.
