  1. Solved Second display will not let me increase its resolution to match main display.

Good suggestion. I think a DVI to USB-C cable is the best solution, since my PC doesn't have Di Problem solved. I got rid of the DVI and connected the monitor to the PC with a DP to DP cable. No adapters. The resolution is now correct. Thanks to everyone who replied for your help
  2. Solved Second display will not let me increase its resolution to match main display.

I'll try shutting down and restarting to see if the problem goes away. I suspect it's the DVI to DP adapter that's limiting the resolution. If that's true, I'm hoping someone will suggest a different adapter.
  3. Solved Second display will not let me increase its resolution to match main display.

I just added a second monitor. It is the same model as my main monitor: BenQ SW2700. My main monitor has a resolution of 2560x1440. But the second monitor shows a resolution of 1920x1080 which cannot be increased. The main monitor is connected straight through to the PC with an HDMI cable...
  4. How to drag a window?

I just tried task view. It looks like the way to go. Thanks for the great advice.
  5. How to drag a window?

If it exists, I can't find it. I'm tempted to switch to Edge because it has a vertical tabs option.
  6. How to drag a window?

For years, the title bar was real estate that belonged to the user (at least I viewed it that way). But in recent years, developers like Google and Microsoft have taken over more and more of the title bar with their content. To move a window (with one hand) now means finding an empty spot on the...
  7. Macrium Full backups fail, but differential and incremental backups succeed

Another Full backup ran to completion today. I ran it manually immediately after a Differential backup ran. I'm not saying that had anyting to do with it, but it is interesting. I submitted a ticket to Macrium support and will let you know what I find out.
  8. Solved I need a simple way to monitor RAID status

Yep, that's the one. I just discovered it was already installed on my Windows 11 PC. I was confused by the name change (no longer Rapid Storage Technology). It's just what I was looking for. Thanks!
  9. Solved I need a simple way to monitor RAID status

I already had the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management "app" on my PC, and it does what I wanted. I was confused by the name change. I had been looking for Rapid Storage Technology. Thanks!
  10. Macrium Full backups fail, but differential and incremental backups succeed

I may have discovered a (partial?) solution. At least it produces a different result. The Samsung_T5 USB SSD may go to sleep when it's not being used, and if so, maybe Macrium doesn't give it enough time to wake up. I unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Then I...
  11. Macrium Full backups fail, but differential and incremental backups succeed

I should have mentioned that one full backup did succeed. It was right after I migrated from Windows 10 PC to my current Windows 11 PC in early July. After three failed attempts, the last one succeeded: But since then, no full backup succeeded. My notes do not show that I did anything special...
  12. Macrium Full backups fail, but differential and incremental backups succeed

When a Macrium full backup runs, it fails with the following error: Incremental and Differential backups run with no problem. I reran the Full backup manually several times. One time it failed with a different error. However the problem is always with the same removable USB SSD...
  13. Solved I need a simple way to monitor RAID status

Do you mean the BIOS screen? On Windows 10, it showed briefly during the boot sequence and it had the RAID status. But I don't see that screen when Windows 11 boots. Even if it's possible to get Windows 11 to show it, It's not a great solution because you have to restart the computer to see it.
  14. Solved I need a simple way to monitor RAID status

I thought RST might have been discontinued. The script that I linked to is just a fancy wrapper for "list volume" | diskpart and the output doesn't contain any information about RAID status
  15. Solved I need a simple way to monitor RAID status

When I purchased my Windows 11 PC from Dell, I opted for RAID 1 SSD's for the boot drive. After several months without problems, I had to hold the powerbutton to shut down the PC. When the PC restarted, I wanted to check the status of my RAID drives. From past experience, I know that rebuilding...
