  1. Windows Update Enable or Disable Include Drivers with Windows Updates in Windows 11

Hi, Windows update insists on installing 2 outdated Intel drivers for me. Changing it in the control panel or changing option one (Gpedit) doesn't block them... The only solution that works definitely is : 1) Suspend Windows update 2) to hide the 2 drivers with the Microsoft tool...
  2. Solved Two updates keep installing, no fix (?)

Hi, This won't fix the problem, but perhaps you can use the Microsoft wushowhide.diagcab tool to hide these updates while waiting for a fix? I use it to block the installation of obsolete drivers that Windows Update absolutely wants to install. You can download it here ...
  3. Privacy and Security Disable Ads in Windows 11

Hi @Brink You could also add the process to hide advertising in the "new Outlook" as explained here. It works very well. (y)
  4. Something Strange Going On With My Libraries

Hi, If you install Windows 11 with a Microsoft account, Onedrive immediately moves the folders when Windows starts. Uninstalling Onedrive doesn't change anything, the damage is done. ;'( Check the location of your users\your_name\ folders with Regedit ...
  5. Outlook Windows 11 Now With Ads... Thanks!

Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed on ElevenForum If not, this will help users of the new Outlook on Windows 11. To hide the ads sent by Microsoft you need to modify the Hosts file. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/141019-block-websites-using-hosts-file-windows.html Open...

  8. Solved [Thunderbird] Open Thunderbird on system notification for new email

Hi, With Thunderbird, I use system notifications (those of Windows 11) to notify me of the arrival of new mail. But when I click on the notification, Thunderbird doesn't open. ;'( I checked and Thunderbird is indeed my default email software but Nothing happens when clicking on the...
  9. What is your favorite email client and why?

@TairikuOkami Thank you for your explanations. It's always nice to read you, here and elsewhere. ;) I understand better why Mailspring did not need authorization to access my Microsoft account, unlike other email clients I have tried.
  10. What is your favorite email client and why?

@TairikuOkami Can you explain DNS and Oath2 please. I also use WFC  and I will block this if it is not essential for Mailspring.
  11. What is your favorite email client and why?

Of course. This is a first possibility for opening software in reduced mode. If that doesn't work, the 2nd option is to create a Batch file and run it with the task scheduler. cd "C:\Users\Pistache\AppData\Local\Mailspring" start /min mailspring.exe --background
  12. What is your favorite email client and why?

Hi Yesterday I looked for a new email client to replace Windows Mail which will soon disappear. My requirements : - Free - Runs silently on startup in the system Tray. Without loading popup or not opening directly ! - Windows notifications on new mail. - Dark theme - Simple and fast. I tested...
  13. Outlook Windows 11 Now With Ads... Thanks!

No I'm talking about an email client. Unless I'm mistaken, above we're talking about ad blockers
  14. Outlook Windows 11 Now With Ads... Thanks!

Microsoft Mail is going away soon and the "new outlook" is just a copy of the website with ads. Is there an alternative to check hotmail? Something simple, lightweight, secure and that checks the inbox in the background? I tried Thunderbird, but it feels like I'm driving an elephant to catch...
  15. Someone stole my Smartscreen pop up

I tried Repair Install/Upgrade. Unfortunately the problem was still there. I completely reinstalled Windows 11. It's a little longer, but it's more radical to fix it. ;-) Anyhow, thanks for your help. :)
