After upgrading with Rufus , no internet , all seems fine .
After updating we get error ; 0x800f0983 , tried several times , no luck .
sfc /scannow , DISM, etc , no errors found !
Only a new repair fixed the updates ..........next updates , same problem .........so , we keep repairing after every update !

What goes wrong , HOW( ?? ) to fix these problems...........???

You mean you get this error when you try to download updates? Without further details my guess is that you have incompatible updates in Windows Update cache. For example, when I upgraded from 24H2 to 25H2 I had some 24H2 updates which of course cannot be installed in 25H2. The solution is to clear the Windows Update cache, restart and search for updates again.

Easy way (it doesn't work always) : Open This PC and click on the Windows disk (C) to select it. Then from Drive Tools select Disk Cleanup. Let it populate and then click on the Advanced button to also include system files and other data. Make sure you check the box for Windows Update and proceed.

Advanced way: Open Task Manager and go to the Services tab. Find wuserv (Windows Update service), click on it and then click on Stop. Now open File Explorer and go into C:\Windows\Software Distribution This is the Windows Update cache folder. Select all contents (CTRL+A) and then delete them. Back in Task Manager click the wuserv and click on Start.

In either case restart your PC for the changes to take effect and then search for updates again.

I will just wait for the next month's CU to see if it will install correctly.

Most likely it will try to install the invalid updates first, display an error and then install the next cumulative update. This way it might refresh Windows Update cache and solve the issue.

I had 6 Cumulative update failures with that error message.
Those have since been removed from my Windows update history and is now showing, Preview Update (KB5067036) (26200.7019) is available.

I never do the Previews anyway as the real one comes along 2 weeks later.

So, yes, just wait.
