2 weeks ago i wanted to play doom at 1440p and so i did. I went to nvidia control panel, set a custom resolution to 2560x1440 hit save and apply and it worked. Untill today, when i launched mw2 it didnt show the 1440p resolution, so i went back to nvidia controll panel, got back to 1080p and then tried to change to 1440p but it didnt work. Still using the same HDMI cable as before. Also i forgot to mention that i changed my r5 3400g to a r5 5500 so idk if thats the issue. Pls help

"My Computer" shows a monitor with a 1080p resolution.

Is that correct?

I've never set a resolution higher than the native resolution of a monitor. I didn't think it would be allowed.

What's the point of setting the resolution to more than the monitor can handle? You don't get better video quality, there aren't enough pixels! All I can see that doing is slowing down the game since it's trying to generate video for a higher resolution and then it's downscaling it for the monitor!
