I am looking for a 2 Factor Authenticator windows desktop app. The only one I have been able to find is Yubico Authenticator and winauth. Unfortunately I can not get that one to work. winauth makes me nervous because it has not been updated since 2017.

I like this one, you can use Windows Hello to open, it prevents taking screenshots and creates a backup.
There are plenty of others on MS Store, they are updated and verified by MS, so they should be reliable.

I decided to get Endpass. But it isn’t free. It’s a one time payment or a subscription.

Not everyone likes to use a paid software but for this I decided on a one time payment.
The reason being is because I appreciate the features, mainly the following which are what I was looking for in an app:

  • It enabled me to import from 1Password (or other apps)
  • It allows me to save my vault locally which is important to me personally (you can save to cloud if you like)
  • When it fills in a User/Pass it automatically copies the One Time Password to the clipboard ready for the One Time Password request
  • It wirelessly syncs between my PC/Laptop/iPad/iPhone in real-time without prompt (You can also set it up to sync from the cloud)
