Unable to activate Windows 11 in Hyper-V virtual machine

Windows 11
I have been having some issues with AutoCAD and AutoHotkey interferences - not critical but annoying - I thought it might be an issue with the latest upgrades in Windows - I am currently running 24H2 (I have not automatically received the updates to 25H2 or 26H2).
I downloaded an ISO file for 26H2 and loaded it onto a USB but it would not install unless as a full 'clean' one. This, of course wiped my C: drive so I had to reinstall my usual programmes. That lost my customisations in AutoCAD, which is fairly critical to my work. I have been unable to reinstate these completely, so I decided to dump 26H2 and restore 24H2 from a system image I had created on an external drive. This has put me back in the original situation with the AutoCAD/AutoHotkey issue though I could save the customisations to the external drive as well.
I thought I might try virtualisation and install 26H2 in isolation and import the customisations to AutoCAD there.
Never had anything to do with virtualisations but eventually set up a VM using Hyper-V and installed 26H2 - but I cannot activate it using my original software key from Windows 10 that successfully transferred automatically to Windows 11 24H2. When I try to use Change product key I get error codes 0x0803fa067 and 0x803f7001. I think this is because Win11 is running under a digital license.
Is there any way I can activate the existing installation of 26H2 without having to purchase a completely fresh one?

A VM is just like another physical system and needs its own license.
They can be had pretty cheap, I have bought 3 or 4 Windows licenses and MSO 2024 from:
