I retired at 55 with 38 years 2 months of service. I went back to work part time the next year. If I can make it to September the 6th next year, I'll have a total of 50 years working for the same employer.

The cure is simple. Just install Explorer Patcher to restore the familiar right-click menu on the taskbar. Don't rely on Microsoft.

Absolutely agreed. If the missus misses the taskbar access, the vivetool method I cited (from Winaero) elsewhere works great, holds, and installs nothing. You can freely delete the files and folder you set up for it.

Otherwise, she can be patient for a while, until MS gets its ducks in a row. It’s an acknowledged problem, and it’s already been fixed for insiders, so the fix will get out to the rest of us in time.
