Same issue here, started for me a couple of days ago. Disabling all my startup items did not make the window go away. It even pops up every time I enter my PIN to log back into Windows. I did a full malwarebytes and windows security (defender) scan and both came back clean. So far it's just OP, myself and a user on the r/windowshelp subreddit that are having this issue so far. This is a bit of a relief since it's likely a glitch and not malware... but it would be great if we could find out exactly what the root cause is.

FOUND IT!!! Some sort of Google related task in Task Scheduler. When I manually run it, the same window appears every time. I will try disabling this task and will report back if it makes a difference.

GoogleUserPEH Folder In Task Scheduler

I just noticed this GoogleUserPEH folder in Task Scheduler. It's empty. Does anyone else have it?

I can confirm that going into Task Scheduler, clicking on the GoogleUserPEH folder on the left hand side then right clicking on RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock and disabling this task made the popup go away on boot and when signing back into Windows 11 with my PIN.

This is LG Monitor App Installer that MSC generously installed for us a couple of days ago. Look in your system tray, there should be an associated icon. You can uninstall it using the normal WIndows uninstall.

Hi, made an account to mention that I had this issue too. It started at the same time you guys had it come up and the solution was the same (disabling RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock). I'm running Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045. No detection on Malwarebytes.

According to another post last month, this is not the only issue to pop up for at least one user regarding the function.

Google Platform Experience Helper

The Logon tab in Autoruns has started showing an entry for Google Platform Experience Helper. I can't find out anyting about this. What's it for?

The popup came back again today and found that the task RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock was re-enabled in Task Scheduler. I disabled the task again then uninstalled Chrome completely this time. I use Firefox as my primary browser and kept Chrome around as a backup, but will no longer be doing that... at least until this silly issue is resolved by Google.

I had this exact same issue on my Surface Laptop 7 and had to disable the RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock in task scheduler as well a couple days ago. Oddly enough while the same Chrome folder is in Task Scheduler on my other computers the RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock entry was not in their folder so they didn't get the blank pop up window. So I'm guessing now a Chrome update on my Surface Laptop may re-enable this entry and I'll have to disable it again but I'll wait to see.

I want to see it. I think I'll download Chrome. I already have a quick flash of a cmd and a white box that isn't chrome because it's not installed.

Not that I could see, If I remember correctly I was able to close it manually but I got tired of it popping up on the desktop when I booted up.

Chrome installed and created a few tasks:

RunPlatformExperienceHelper
GoogleUpdaterTaskSystem
RunPlatformExperienceHelper_Daily
RunPlatformExperienceHelper_Metrics

White window opens for less than a second on my ancient rig. Perhaps it's relevant as to what priority the task starts. I understand the OCD but it doesn't bother me personally. Also, I hate Chrome so...

Hi there, it also started happening to me, just yesterday it started with boot, but for me, i don't even have chrome installed, only thing Google related i have is Google Drive, but i dont have the GoogleUserPEH in task scheduler, so in my case it isn't the thing, the only way i can remove this box is by closing dwm.exe and after a screen flash, it goes away

Found mine culprit, I'm using a knockoff Elgato StreamDeck from China with a software named "StreamDock", when exited the box disappeared, one of the plugins named "com.mirabox.streamdock.lyrics.sdPlugin" i wasn't even using, it was opening Microsoft Edge and wasn't able to exit itself resulting in an invisible window similar to the one in thread, after removing the plugin from the "plugins" folder, the box stopped appearing when launching the app.

If it helps to figure it out...

For me it started appearing with latest Chrome update, currently at 150.0.7871.47
It only shows on my tablette which uses Modern Standby, on my desktop, the task on Unlock is not even present
Looked at release notes but could not find anything related to Unlock or Task

Chrome 150 Stable release date: June 30th, 2026

Also, if you search the web for "RunPlatformExperienceHelperOnUnlock", there is lots of activity on the subject.
So, Google as no other choice then to notice the noise.
For now, since we know what is causing the issue, I will leave the task on and wait for Google Chrome update and see...
