Solved All of my emoji's are showing as small squares

Hey,

Windows did an update this morning, and after my computer turned back on, all of my emoji's are showing as small squares. I tried to restart, and made sure I have the Segoe UI Emoji font, which I do, however, it isn't showing as emoji's it's showing as numbers.

Any chance you might have any ideas on how to solve this? The GIF are fine, it's just the emojis.

@Brink An update, I tried to restore the registry files using your table for Windows 11 in case something in there got wonky, but no luck. I'm guessing something is now missing that wasn't before, I just don't know what that something is.

Any ideas you might have would be most appreciated.

No, sorry if I wasn't clear. Everything is fine with my normal font, it's the emojis I'm having a problem with as of this morning.
My computer did an update this morning, and when it turned back on all of the emojis were just boxes. I have no idea what happened or why, and nothing I have done / try to do seems to fix it.

Below is what I see when I open the emoji panel, it's also displaying the same way in Windows Explorer in folders that have emojis on the names.

@Brink Thank you for the guidance, I did that this morning after I first realized it happened, with no luck.

When I went into settings, the Segoe UI Emoji, is now showing as text instead of the icons, which leads me to believe something got corrupted during the updated with the Segoe UI Emoji font. However, when I scanned via cmd, it found nothing.

That font is unrelated to the Emoji Panel.

You could try doing a repair install of Windows 11.

@Brink I know, but it isn't just the panel not displaying correctly, its within the windows explorer as well, and prior to that update the Segoe UI Emoji font in my settings showed the emojis not words.

I even tried to rebuild the icon cache using your file, but that didn't work either. Ugh.
