Actually, I wasn't referring to credit agencies. I'm looking more at scumbags like Facebook, X, Tik-Tock, Twitter, Zillow, etc... that use tracking cookies and want to push their sh*tty pop-up ads on me. More that kind of thing.

If I do need to use a service, and they need my information for it, then yes, I volunteered to give it to them. Amazon has all kinds of info on me because I use their services. I volunteered to give it to them. They are actually giving me something in return for it. This isn't a zero sum all-or-nothing situation going on here, ya know.

You're right. And that's why I use things like hosts files, adblockers, browser spoofers, VPNs, changing OS settings, etc... My book is semi-closed.

I don't get those. I only get an email when the item was shipped and when I receive it. Sometimes I'll get "How Am I Doing" surveys that I don't answer unless they screw up. And that hasn't happened in awhile.

If you have an amazon profile, check your settings.

Or call their help desk. I think they still have phone support out there. Tell them to knock it off.

I use edge for most of my browsing but if something defeats my extensions for ads on edge, then I use brave. I am looking at you YOUTUBE!

I use Chrome on my Windows pro Surface pc, since my phone's and Chromebook are using Chrome browser.

Instead of letting Google dictate that I use Chrome, I prefer using Microsoft Edge, so I installed Edge on my Android phone.

Google is everywhere on my Android Phone. So it's no use installing another spying app (Edge) on it to replace Chrome.
Then I'd rather use the build-in Samsung Browser.
But I installed Firefox and configured it in such a way that there is no telemetry (I hope...).
