Hi

I see some apps on my system has a lock icon like in this picture. some of them dont open and I had to reinstall them again , what is this lock icon ?

If you see a padlock overlay icon on a file or folder, it means the file or folder is encrypted with Windows EFS (Encrypting File System). An encrypted file can only be accessed by the user account that encrypted it.

I did not encrypt anything , how I turn off this please ?

You will decrypt the file or folder by deselecting Encrypt contents secure data from its Properties sheet.

Yes, you can ignore it, as no infection will benefit by encrypting your files using Windows EFS.
