NEVER MIND! I SOLVED THE PROBLEM BY RUNNING THE SFC SCANNOW COMMAND!!!
I access ancestry.ca using Windows 10 PC, a windows 11 PC, a Chromebook and an android smartphone.
Only both Windows PC's, after I key in new data in an Ancestry popup box the box freezes when I try to execute it. No problem with the Chromebook or Smartphone. Ancestry still active. Only this data entry function fails.
I sense that there is a disconnect between the box and main online service, or maybe the box and the Windows service that is supposed to link the box to the main program. There is a broken connection someplace.
I've tried clearing cookies, history etc and tried Chrome, EDGE and Firefox. I've even tried going Incognito. I have disabled Extensions. No good.
Tech Support at Ancestry cannot help. They naturally feel ok because of the successful Chromebook and Smartphone experience.
Suggestions are welcome.
