Another post about changing the windows 11/10 login screen ui elements

Hello, so I had an idea. There is a program called logon studio from star dock incorporated. With the version that’s made for windows Xp, can I use that version on windows 11 and change the ui elements? Like where the user pictuer is stored? How do I change the theme of the circle where the user pictuer is stored? And how do I change the text and the throbber loading animation back to make it look like windows 7? Can I bring over the windows Xp login screen from windows Xp and simply replace the files in sides 11? And get the program to work that way? It therorecitcly should work. Will put it to the test when I get home. And I will update my findings on this post here below.

It was an 'old in the tooth' program that only supported 32 bit OS.
It was good for XP though.

Sorry about that. The mention of WinXP Pro and later versions did suggest there was a 64-bit version as WinXP Pro was the first to offer either 32-bit or 64-bit, [still have a copy of the 64-bit].

No you will not be able to use this program on Win 1x.
Please understant that the boot process in Win1x is no longer as it was before.
Now you need the source code to modify anything.

Win1x boot sequence:
EFI/ NON EFI
1- Preboot : UEFI Firmware / MBR
2- \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi / Bootmgr

What follows remains the same, as far as name of file anyway

3- %SystemRoot%\system32\winload.exe (contains one readable file OSLOADER,an xls file
which brings you the blue menu + boot/repair (everything else in compiled with no dependency)
4- %SystemRoot%\system32\ntoskrnl.exe (compiled, many dependencies,
this is where hal.dll is loaded, bootvid.dll is one of the first as it loads your VGA driver)

None of those or their dependencies are usable as they are. Long gone are the days of XP.
