Any way to Disable "Quick Searches" ?

Hello friends.

After the last windows 11 update i disable Search Highlights because i dont like it, but when i did that "Search Highlights was replaced by "Quick Searches" has show in the photo.
Any way to disable that?

I dislike it as well and am trying to figure out how to get rid of quick searches, suggested, and top apps. Once there was a regedit change, but since latest update it does not work any more. I'll post back if I find a solution.

Hey @Brink, is there any way to get rid of all the junk on 21H2 22000.778 start search (quick searches, suggested, and top apps) that shows up when search highlights is turned off? Seems like we get rid of one aggravating thing but it's replaced by another.

I thought I was missing some trick to do this.
Apparently it's not possible yet.

yep, everything is toggled off in settings

I haven't seen a way to do so yet.

Well I am on the same build and turned quick searches off using those 3 dots. Pretty sure that is all I did as I have no 3rd party customisations, this install is only just over a week old.

@DigitalGoat Don't know. When I click on 3 dots, then search settings,I have every single thing toggled off and I still get this.

I have the same view as @DigitalGoat, but I'm on beta 22621.160.

The thing is:
When you type something in the search bar one other board open and the "quick search" appears.

I have that:


If i type something in the search bar this board opens:



Dont you have the same?

This is what I have:

@jvickers Yours looks like that because you have search highlights turned on. Both the OP and I have search highlights turned off and we end up with all that other crap instead, with no way to turn it off.

Gotcha. I disabled highlights and have the same view you both have with no way to disable it. I kind of like the highlights feature. It's Asteroid Day! :)
