I have a new rig that's been up and running for a couple of weeks. I'm have an issue with a Turing/Turzx 5" screen that I'm using as a sensor panel. It connects via a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard. Once connected and working, I started having issues with my computer hanging up and not posting after booting or restarting from Windows. It would continue to hang and the only way to get out of it would be to turn my PSU off and hold in the power switch to discharge the motherboard, then boot.
I was finally able to correct the booting issue by going to Onboard Devices Configuration in EFI/BIOS and disabling USB Power Delivery in Soft Off State (S5). Unfortunately, this doesn't help with performing a Windows Restart.
So, currently my system still hangs on Restart. If I want to restart, basically I have to shutdown instead, then restart manually by pressing my computer's power button. Is there any way to force a Windows Restart to actually shutdown and restart, so that power is temporarily removed? Basically, I want my PC to perform a soft off (S5) shutdown then restart on its own. Is there any way to do this or am I stuck manually restarting or removing my sensor panel?
My mobo is an Asus ROG Strix Z790-H and I'm using Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.3155.
