This week I had 5 updates including Intel Bluetooth, Net, Nvidia Display and Audio drivers. I spent some time with MS support trying to get details of what these drivers were for and why Windows update is pushing them out instead of the manufacturer. I got no where (In fact the best I got was the Driver is for your NVIDA DIsplay, yep very descriptive).
Are there no longer any details about what the updates are for or why they are introduced. Certainly in the case of NVIDIA the version matches nothing on NVIDA driver pages, however I did find some people having problems with the Windows update NVIDIA 27.21.14.5671 this was one of the updates.
So the question really is how to prevent some of the Windows updates from being installed specifically Hardware drivers?
Thanks
