I'm looking into a way to reconcile my Apple Music app (database) with the music folder. Want to purge unlinked songs from the Apple Music app library.
Does anyone have helpful suggestions?

By "unlinked songs", do you mean local music? Maybe you could make a Smart Playlist where the Location is "On this computer", and then "Delete from library" all the matches.

I keep my local music separate by using a different music folder than the one Windows creates in my profile, and I use MusicBee for it.

What I mean by "unlinked songs" is, while the Apple Music app stores the songs in it playlist\library\table. The Media folder I specify in the application where the songs are listed like Artist->Album->Song.
But I found some songs when in Apple Music app are coming back as "not found". I do properties and they give a path that does not exist or in the wrong place. I'm trying to reconcile the Apple Music app library seen in the application to what I have in the Media folder where the Artist->Album->Song are. If I can't find a song say "\The Beatles\Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band\Lucy in the sky with diamonds.mp3" in that folder then it is a broken link. This is what I must reconcile. Then I can reload the song or find where it is and re-added to AMa (Apple Music app).

Sorry I'm using Apple Music Application not iTunes.

I understand that. It's still possible to create these playlists in Apple Music.

I think what you really need is what Kodi calls "Clean Library", which rescans the media sources and removes items which can no longer be found. I don't know if these suggested playlists actually do that, but turingtest2 is a reliable poster, and he makes it sound like that's what they do, except the "Lost" smart playlist locates without removing. FWIW, I only use Apple Music for songs that are in the cloud, and for me, the "Lost" playlist returned songs that are not in my library but that I did add to other playlists. (I had disabled the option to add songs to library when adding to playlists.)

My only other idea is for iTunes, which I used to use only for local music. (Yep, I did a complete 180 on using Apple software for local and cloud music.) I used to find discrepancies between my iTunes library and file system using this method, when my music library was located in X:\Music:

Code:
***** Comparing iTunes DB to File System

Use XYplorer to get a linear list of music files with full paths
Export iTunes Library as Playlist
    Notepad++:
        Change encoding to UCS-16
        Replace
            ^.*(X:\\.*)$
            \1
sort both
windiff

Since switching to AMA iTunes is not able to see songs. So exporting playlist is a non-starter. My songs/playlist are all local. I don't use the online music store at all. Mostly hold my CD, vinyl.

So did you try the thing that's still possible in Apple Music?

I mentioned the iTunes method for completeness and as a last resort, you can uninstall Apple Music and install iTunes, and your library will survive. You can then reverse the procedure when you've got everything sorted out. The only thing I've found I lose in the process is View settings for playlists, as they revert to a flat view of songs no matter if "View as albums" was selected before.
