Application pauses for 10 hours

Hi
I'm running a slideshow using Libre Office Impress (equivalent to Powerpoint), which should show images at 10 second intervals, then loop back to the start. The slideshow runs fine initially, but then the screen goes black with a message at the top 'Pause....' followed by a digital clock that counts down from 10 hours.
If I hit enter, the slideshow restarts from the beginning.
I am necessarily running on battery, and have ensured that sleep occurs 'never' rather than after a specific time. The battery is set to 'best performace' but the same problem occurs if set to 'balanced'.
The same problem occurs both on my Dell laptop and a somewhat older HP laptop (which also runs Windows 11).
Has anyone come across this 'Pause' message and knows how to avoid getting it? I'd really like the slideshow to run as intended!
Many thanks.

If using .ppt file. Try loading the .ppt file, setting the options you want (Slide Show > Slide Show Settings > ...) then save it as an ODF presentation, and load that into OO to run your show. Also check, Under Slide Show > Slide Show Settings > Type, you have selected Type = "Auto" and you have set the time entry there to zero. (so 0 seconds to restart slide)

Hi, Richard, welcome to the ElevenForums 🙏

I read your post and I immediately think that it would be the way the formula is at the end. I don’t use it so I don’t know how a slideshow is setup. BUT..

The slideshow runs fine initially, but then the screen goes black with a message at the top 'Pause....' followed by a digital clock that counts down from 10 hours.
Is this after 1 run? Or does the slideshow run a certain amount of times then randomly hits the pause screen?
If it stops after 1 run, I’d suggest you double check the actions on the last slide. If random, I am not sure.

If using .ppt file.
There was no mention of that, just a mention that “Libre Office Impress” is “(equivalent to Powerpoint)”

Hi all
Thanks for all the suggestions.I think I've found the culprit, but not the cause! IThe problem occurred when running the LibreOffice Impress software (free version of Powerpoint), whether on mains or battery. I tried running it on another laptop (on which I have Powerpoint) and there was no interruption.
I have to use the non-Poweroint laptops, so I've screen recorded the Powerpoint presntation, and can play it as an mp4 with WMP on my laptops that don't have powerpoint.
So it looks like it's not a Windows 11 problem, something inherent in LibreOffice Impress, not obviously solvable, which I'll tell them about.
Thanks for your welcome to the forum. Great to have such swift support available. Thank you, Antspants and Tester.

So the file originated as a Powerpoint file or LibreOffice Impress file?

I actually created it as a Powerpoint presentation, then transferred it to the other laptops in both ppt and odp (Impress) format. On those other laptops, it interrupted when I used Impress to run either the ppt or odp versions.
Could the fact I created with PP be the problem? Ah, but anyway, I have something that works!

OK, you hadn’t mentioned that originally cheers 🙏

If using .ppt file
Good guess, my bad.
