OS
Windows 11 Home ver 23H2
When I go to Windows Security , it indicates 'Action recommended' against 'App & browser control'.
When I click this item, a dialog says "You'll need a new app to open this windows defender link" and suggests 'Look for an app in the Microsoft Store'.
But, when I click the OK button, I get "No results found".
How do I resolve this issue?

Yes - 'Windows Security' appears in Start > All apps.
But when I right-click this item and select More > App settings, it does not appear in the resulting list.

Issues with Defender are notoriously difficult to fix and if no one else chips in I think you have three choices. The first one I would do is to a repair install of Windows, from an .iso, keeping all accounts, apps, and personal data.

Second is to do a clean install,

Third is to use a third-party AV.

I would also start keeping backup images that you can restore to easily in such cases. That reminds me, have you tried a system restore to when Defender was working? Might be worth a shot if SR is enabled.

@Ben Myers, @Fabler2
Thanks for your response. The Windows 11 bug that you mention refers to a preview build of Windows 11. I have just run 'Check for updates' and it confirms that my system is up to date.
Surely, this bug should now be fixed by Microsoft.
