For the record I pursue audiophile CD's and vinyl as well, but I'm nowhere near that deep into the purity of it
Anyway, there's a whole 32+page thread here: Mobile Fidelity cutting from digital since 2015? As an audiophile myself, I get it, but it's still kind of funny to me. As I said there... if the recording is good, it shouldn't matter where the source came from.

At the time, I was flattered by the technical prowess achieved with the trains and railways of my country, the same year I worked at the SNCF (#1). I was also impressed by the one made on the psychosis in my mother's country (#2), and on the Arab atmosphere of my childhood holiday memories (#4). This band took me high so many times, so let it forever be ! (#3-5).

Its why analogue purists sort them. To hear now that this may not be true (since 2015), is sending shock waves to those who bought them. As he laments, he "despises digital" because he doesn't feel it's always quality.
As I said, there's a huge thread over at Steve Hoffman forums, but yeah, if you're not into that the video is meaningless. Anyway, I'll just stick to the forums there for my audio discussions as not many here are into a lot of the discussions there.
