I've heard mixed reviews about the recorded atmosphere on this, and one other Michael Murray disc, the Cathedral of St John the Divine recording.

That Liszt by Szathmary isn't on Qobuz or YouTube Music. Looks like one of those really old EMI Germany releases from the 1980's.

Yup. I found it in an obscure CD shop, in a nearby town, in the early 90's, I think.

This is worth a listen!
Macy's Department Store, originally John Wanamaker's Department Store, in Philadelphia, which houses one of the largest playable and historically significant instruments on earth, officially closed it's doors for good on March 23, 2025.
This is the final concert from March 22, 2025, 5PM.
The final selection by Bach, Komm, Susser Tod, (Come, Sweetest Death), had me in tears!
