Backup Programs for NAS

I just set up a NAS..16 Tb on Synology DS223......and I'm looking for a good backup program to run the NAS.....
I have 3 computers feeding the NAS....

Right now I"m using Cobian Reflector because it does not put everything in one large file....easy to find files I want to restore.....but it's very slow....
I have tried Veeam for Windows but I find it difficult to set up....
I have played with Macrium as a backup but again one large file and you have to mount the Macrium Image in order to recover anything.....

Requirements....
Fast....
Easy to set up....
Reliable....
Easy to recover a single file....

So I'm wondering what are some of you using for a backup program....

Hi, Steve.

I use FreeFileSync. It’s free and comes with “RealTimeSync” which you can use after you save a “FreeFileSync” batch job.
RealTimeSync” enables the batch job to run in real time. Meaning if you add or update a file, it will be reflected onto source drive immediately, or within a time span you can allocate.
I like it so much I regularly donate. There is a small advantage to donating, but really, the difference is negligible.
As far as they are concerned, $5 is a donation. They don’t discriminate what people can afford.

The video page is missing an explanation in the videos regarding the “Update” option

The Update Sync variant leaves any files that pre-exist in your "target" location intact, even if such file does not, or no longer exist in the "source" location. But it will update a file that has been changed on the source drive and reflect that on the target drive (as does Mirror Sync)

A Mirror Sync variant will replicate the target drive with the source drive, meaning if someone deletes a file on their source drive, it will be reflected on the target.

There are other backup variants.

I haven't, at all, represented this program as well as it should be. I love it. Maybe it will be of use to you.

Personally, I use Beyond Compare for a lot of my file-by-file backups to my NAS. I also do image backups of the O/S and my primary data drive.

Ants pants.....reading the info on Free File Sync.......is this a sync program where if you delete the source file it automatically deletes on the target...???
I need a backup program that does not "sync".....
I had a really bad situation a month ago.....I was moving my data from a W10 PC to a W11 PC......I had thousands of photos synced with Google.....I accidently deleted my photos on the W10 source PC and everything was then deleted on the Google Photos target cloud........I lost a LOT of stuff......
Now I cloud backup on IDrive but I also need a local backup....and that is the NAS.........but it needs to backup and not sync.....
