Solved Beep sounds occur when moving mouse around the screen, never recurring in the same location

The current desktop PC is approximately 3 years old. The intermittent beeps started about a week ago. Looking for help to stop the annoying beeps.

What type of "Beep" is it? is it the USB connect/disconnect sound or a default beep?

Right click the desktop and choose Personalize/Themes/Sounds
go through the list and test/play each sound until you find the sound that it is making, then you will know what the sound signifies.

Thank you. It was the Device Disconnect sound that was sounding off regardless ofthe location of the mouse.

Take a look in Device Manager and see if you notice any exclamation marks or crosses next to any devices.
  • Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  • From the menu that appears, click Device Manager.

Or
  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type devmgmt.msc
  • and press Enter.

Do you have any other USB devices plugged in, besides the USB Keyboard?

What type of mouse do you have?
Is it wired or Wireless?
If Wireless, replace the batteries in the mouse
Also. plug the USB Controller, or USB Cable into the Back USB Port of the Dell Desktop and not the front as the front port are weaker.
Do not use a USB Hub.
If that fails, try a different USB wired mouse.
