Solved Better way to do a backup

I don't know if these backups will actually work. this includes the Win 11 image I do each month faithfully. I have an empty new 4T usb drive floating around and I could set the up so the I could boot from it in an emergency I guess!!

Just did a quick check and the Macrium image won't fit on the T7 along with the Win 11 image so I will just leave the Macrium image on the 4T passport for now. Doesn't really matter, just a bit slower at usb 3 speed.
Back in an hour or 2. Ran the vboot program yesterday and was informed that something was mission on my drive. will look into it later today if I can.

After every 5 days , with a Ventoy-sticky ; Macrium and AoMEI complete system-backups.
Copy them on two/three external HDDs ............no " surprises" anymore , always safe to go ...........!! :wink:
( even with unexpected hardware-failures !)

Close to buying a 2T internal for testing etc. Question I have is that if my SSD croaks and I slide in PRE-LOADED internal drive to replace it (temporary), what happens to all the settings that were changed in the bios to get the most out of the SSD,s. Will the bios revert back or will there be issues.

Amazon just dropped off my new blue WD 2T old school HD. Plugged it into my exterior caddy and the drive comes up, sort of. disk manager sees it but won't initialize it. Tested the caddy with another drive the same and no problem. Any hints!!!!!!2024-05-11_16-04-58.png
