eg: X570 AORUS ELITE (rev. 1.0) Support | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.K.
eg: Version F37 > Checksum : 77D5

The Checksum (16 bit) appears to be a legacy checksum algorithm.

One Windows program which can compute that checksum is WinHex (I only have an old version).

WinHex Checksum (16 bit) for the Capsule file : "X570AE.F37" (which is inside the zip file).

Same as what I get when I use Q-Flash but it;s not what the website is showing. I've reached out to Gigabyte UK e-support, will see what they say when they respond.

I think it's more likely a Gigabyte error, especially as the Elite BIOS has the correct checksum as you've shown here.

Downloaded the BIOS from Gigabyte again this morning, still getting 98FE checksum so it's not a corrupt download, which would likely fail to install anyway

Update: Gigabyte UK replied requesting a screenshot of the BIOS Q-Flash install screen showing the 98FE Checksum. I've sent them that and await their next reply

Another update: Gigabyte asked me to confirm the checksum, thanks to @das10 for using a 16-bit Hash checker to confirm the checksum is 98FE.

Looks like GB got it wrong on their website.

Final update: Gigabyte have changed the checksum on their website to 98FE, just an hour after I replied to them with confirmation of the value.
