Version 6241 dated 2025/04/07 is the most recent final version. There are 2 other versions 6251 and 6253 but they are both Beta versions unless you are happy to try them.

EDIT: The latest version 6253 says "includes a critical fTPM firmware upgrade, enhancing security and optimizing game compatibility. Before proceeding, back up your BitLocker recovery key and suspend BitLocker encryption in your operating system to prevent potential boot issues".

I believe one of those files is a "renamer tool".
You need to run that to rename the BIOS file to the form your motherboard BIOS will recognize.

This is the BIOS download for my ASUS board...

Then, once it's renamed, put it on a USB stick formatted to FAT32.

Then put the stick in one of the motherboard USB ports on the back of the computer.
Reboot and gently spam the DELETE key to enter the BIOS (setup).

Then go to the Tools tab to flash (upgrade), the BIOS.

These directions are only for ASUS motherboards.

This is from MY motherboard manual, but it should be the same for you...

I noticed you filled out your computer specs.... here's ten points just for being so helpful. :-)

The renamer tool is only needed to use the "crash free BIOS" recovery tool. See the downloadable BIOS guide. I believe that renaming the BIOS would do no harm for the normal update, though.

Whether the OP should use the latest beta BIOS, I can't say. Seems odd that both of the newest available BIOS updates are betas.

Don't do it over the internet. If the internet glitches, you can brick your motherboard.
Do it the SAFE way... use a USB stick.
That way, ONLY a power failure can mess you up.

Do it just like this...

Format a USB stick as FAT32.
Put the BIOS file on the USB stick.
Plug the USB stick into one of the motherboard USB ports, on the back of the computer.
Then...

Don't MAKE me type all this a 3rd time. :D

I've never loaded the BIOS defaults before flashing the BIOS, and I've never had a problem.

Don't have to rename the file if flashing in the bios screen.
That is only if you are using the flashback port cause the bios is corrupted.
Been using Asus boards since 1999 and have never renamed the file for just using the tool in the bios.

Also, you do not have to use the rear USB ports as I just use the front panel ports of the case.
