Black Screen After WU Preview Release

Updated windows 11 now no screen just blank

Two preview releases appeared today in WU. updated and rebooted now both my screens are blank there was no updating in process message with a per engage as per usual ..I rebooted same thing. I don't know what to do. I back up in external SSD Samsung USB with AOOMEI Back Up how do I restore from this backup?

System Restore with AOMEI Backupper

The system backup image can be used to restore system to a correct configuration when computer crashes. It can avoid system reinstallation.

It's important to create the software's bootable media, when you install AOMEI. If you didn't, you'll need to find another PC or have someone here show you how to load Windows without the drivers in hope you can get into Windows, I have never done it.

It restores the PC to the Exact same state it was when you created the image.

1) Find a flash drive that you can format (> or = 8 GB).


2) Find a working Windows computer.


3) Create a bootable Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 11 iso)


4) Move the MCT/iso to the problematic computer.


5) Boot to the flash drive > troubleshoot > command prompt > type:

dism /image:C:\ /Get-Packages

(change C: as needed to the displayed drive letter)


Save to notepad > save to a flash drive > move to the working Windows computer > post share links

My laptop only has USB C my flash drives are USB A I have a Samsung SSD on my laptop but it is USB C no USB A ports

You can first try to unintall the updates before restoring an image if you want.

Try to get into recovery by holding down shift key through boot. Keep it held down as it should take you to recovery screen. If it does not you can use a bootable windows install drive to get into recovery as @zbook instructed.

Then, if you're unable to uninstall the updates, you can restore your image.

It depends on what kind of gackup you made. Only a system backup recovers everything. CORRECTION: also disk backup if you have only one drive

Well I did a clean install of windows , still had problems because screens went blank during installation process. I unplugged my main monitor and it proceeded as normal.
