Greetings to all and thank you for taking the time..
I have a new laptop MSI Delta 15 with bluetooth issue.
I have to admit, I am not a techy and struggling with complicated task.
I have contacted MSI support but its a no go there.
I have managed to do a fresh install of Win11. Issue still remains.
I have created a second user but issue still remains.
I have installed all the required drivers from MSI regarding bluetooth to no avail.
DeviceManager is not telling me driver is missing/corrupted or needs to be installed. All good in that regard.
The issue:
Bluetooth Icon is present. Right click and add a peripheric. I have then a Pop Up window asking to make a choice between Bluetooth, Display/Dock, and Xbox...
I choose Bluetooth but it is not detecting any other device. I have quite a lot around. If I choose the option Display (second option) its detecting my TV (Samsung).

I have gone as far as I could and would very much appreciate any help ..

As an ex, its not even detecting my iPhone. My iPhone is seeing my laptop can when I try to connect to it through my iPhone, the connection fails everytime..

Laptop is a week old. I guess, if the issue cannot be fixed and can send it back.

All the best

What is meant by "I choose Bluetooth but it is not detecting any other device"? Do you have any device Paired/Connected to the Notebook?
I have Bluetooth on several Notebooks as part of the Wireless adapter and use BT mice with them but if changing from one mouse to another always have to go through the connecting/pairing process, usually by pressing a button on the bottom of the mouse. If connecting a SmartPhone may need to enter a code that is provided during the process of connecting. Bottom line? BT isn't as simple or quick as plugging in a USB Thumb drive.

When I say not detecting any other device, its simply blank. No device that I have and in particular a tronsmart speaker very close to the laptop is showing. Tronsmart is not the issue as it connects to my iPhone. I have no device connected/paired to the laptop as it does not offer that possibiliy since no device is shown. Hope this clarifies. Apologies as I do not have the technical jargons

I tried to look for logs in "event viewer" relating to bluetooth error, I could not find any. I am not saying there is none. I just could not find any as quite difficult to understand.

What is throwing me off is the bluetooth appears to be working with no issue. Besides the fact that no device is being detected, I see no error.

I agree, digital life is hard.

:)

Generally if no BT device is being seeing there is an issue. I'd go to Device Manager and Uninstall the BT device, not the drivers for it, then restart the computer, could be something got corrupted and should be refreshed.

yes its turned on.
I am using a very handy piece of software called "Bennett Bluetooth Monitor" and the bluetooth inside my laptop is seen and apparently working as expected and yet not able to detect any device through the Windows GUI but able to show some devices using the "Bennett Bluetooth Monitor". Would I be correct saying this is not a hardware issue but more like some software bug ?

Honestly, I don't know. If both devices are turned on then they should see each other. Could be a driver issue with the laptop or a defective hardware issue. I would recommend cheking with the manufacturer as it's a new laptop. Clearly the laptop sees the devices so the transmit is working but the signal recieve is not getting a soure. Sounds like a frequency crystal failure or an open diode in the circuit.
