I noticed there's no sticky thread for Brave browser and I wondered how popular it is with others?

I've been using Brave for around a year now having previously used Firefox. I use Startpage as my search engine, Google like results but without the endless garbage of photos and ads littering the page and I find it works well with Brave.

In short, I don't get any problems with Brave browser, it does what I want/need it to do. Brave Sync works ok too.

Brave is excellent. I use Brave portable when watching youtube videos and any time I get on Social Media (which is rare) so I am not bombarded with the continuous ads.

Thanks for the responses so far.

I really rate the Ad blocking. I've tweaked the settings for maximum privacy. I haven't had any sites break on me yet. And as @glasskuter mentioned about Youtube, I love the way Brave just trashes the ads and gets straight into the content. I also using it on iPhone, it does what Safari can't do, allows me to look at other forums on the move without an endless stream of ad content.

Firefox/startpage as my primary, but youtube seems to hinder firefox, so I use Brave, pretty much exclusively, for youtube.

It's easy to disable shields and to hide the rewards.

Settings...Appearance...Customise your toolbar... scroll to the bottom and switch off 'Rewards'.

Settings...Shields...Trackers and ads blocking...Disable.

Or you can turn Shields off per website by clicking on the Shield icon to the right of the address bar.
