When I first got the pc, it would crash every once in a while but now every time I turn it on either when I first start it up I get the BSoD or when I am just on it. Sometimes it happens more than once. KASSANDRA-(2024-02-21_20-36-45).zip

When was the computer purchased and what is the warranty status?

BSOD were seen multiple times during the past year.

What type of installation was performed in February?

1) The BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends International, LLC. A.90, 3/17/2022

Upgrade the BIOS: A9 > AF

2) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

3) Run Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes > take pictures > post share links

4) Indicate whether the installed RAM modules are or are not on the QVL

The computer/parts were bought in Oct/Nov of 2022. It was put together fully in January 2023
Recently all I did was reinstall the cpu cooler. Just cleaned and added thermal paste.

within about an hour I got the BSOD like 5 or 6 times
1. I upgraded it
2. Im not sure what i need to do as its taking me to a forum I have no access too
3. I have started the first pass, not sure when that is going to be done
4. I don’t think so if those are the two Corsair sticks.

Sorry this is my first pc so i’m not too familiar with all the name and such.

2) The Tuneup.bat script posted will run without logon.

3) The computer has 16 GB RAM
The older software versions took 1 - 1 1/2 hrs per GB RAM.
On many computers the installed RAM GB has increased.
The speed of the latest versions has not been well documented.
Make sure that it completes at least 8 passes.
The greater the passes the better the testing conditions.
It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to find malfunctioning RAM.
Make sure images or share links are posted.

The computer reported BSODs starting 02/2023.

There were BSOD:
02/23
03/23
04/23
05/23
06/23
07/23
10/23
11/23
12/23
01/24
02/24

RAM testing was not designed to test for incompatible RAM.

Monitor computer instability with the newest BIOS.

If instability continues with the upgraded BIOS then consider installing QVL RAM for testing purposes.

If instability continues with QVL RAM then swap test other hardware components.

There was documentation of prior hangs caused by the Nvidia GPU.
The driver can be clean installed using DDU:

I will try the tuneup.bat when the memtest has passed. I’ll let it run over night and while i’m at work.

I think it might have been the SSD card that was installed in February as that’s the only thing showing up from my purchase history.

I will install the display driver cleaner as well, when the test finish.

is there any way I am able to tell if I have faulty hardware ?

Some methods to confirm faulty hardware:

a) Run the computer continuously in safe mode (several days)

b) Make backup images > clean install Windows 10 > restore image after testing

c) Run Windows driver verifier WDV > rule out misbehaving drivers

Software used to stress test hardware often displays pass when there is malfunctioning hardware (false negatives).

Tuneup plus runs for less than 15 minutes on most computers.

Hello @zbook
I will be installing a new ram today then running the test I will share links.

I will also run the tune up test when I arrive home before installing the new ram. Here are the results from the memtest.
Also when I was looking for ram I seen this, should I try this version instead of should I stick with the AFIMG_5392.jpegScreenshot 2024-02-22 114000.png

Finished running the memtest. It states zero errors. I have upgrade the motherboard to AF.

I was able to run the test. Do I post in this thread or to the windows 10 forum?

I am now trying to run the tuneup test but every time I turn the pc on within 5-10 minutes i’m getting bsod. I am unable to do any of the other steps as it starts but can’t finish.

For all steps / tests please post images or share links into this thread.

Reboot the computer into safe mode with or without networking (shift + restart).

While in safe mode indicate changes in computer stability / instability (unexpected shutdowns and restarts with and without BSOD).

For any BSOD post a new V2 share link.

Both V2 and tuneup plus can run in safe mode.

If there is no networking both V2 and tuneup plus can run by using a flash drive.

I am currently unable to do anything on the computer as it goes into blue screen quickly and restarts all my progress. I have reinstalled windows and nothing seems to work. Do you think it may be my SSD that needs to be replaced? As you stated the crashes started in February of 2023 and that was the only thing that was installed into the pc. @zbook

1. I know of one BSOD happening in safe mode.
2. Yes, they were installed. 2 new 8 gb ones
3. I bought these products in Oct 2022 and motherboard in Nov 2022, not sure if that's what you mean.
4. I am unable to run any test as I can not get pass the Windows setup screen
5. Yes Windows 11 was clean installed.

I have clean installed windows twice with two it companies. Instead of doing a file restore, I did a system restore and since then I am unable to set up windows as a new pc, as I get the blue screen.

On a working computer create a bootable Sea Tools flash drive > run the Long Generic test > post a share link

If the drive passes the Sea Tools Long Generic test then remove one of the new QVL RAM modules and test one module with Memtest86.

If the RAM module passes testing then swap test the CPU or motherboard.

Sea Tools can run either bootable, windows, linux, or dos.

Create the bootable flash drive on a working windows computer.

Move the tool to the problematic computer.

Boot the problematic computer to the flash drive > run the Long Generic test > take pictures > post images or share links

Try the flash drive on the working windows computer to confirm that it works.

Some computers run using Sea Tools Legacy (DOS).

Were you able to run the Sea Tools Long Generic test on the working Windows computer?

If not then run Sea Tools DOS.

Once you've confirmed that it runs on the working Windows computer attempt to run the same test on the problematic computer.

Also the Sea Tools for Windows can run in safe mode.
