BSOD "Page_Fault_in_NONPAGED_AREA"

I encountered a BSOD seemingly out of nowhere. From what I can recall, the system wasn’t under heavy memory load at the time. Also,it points to igdmdn64.sys as the driver that failed. From further gathering, this may appears to be related to the Intel graphics driver.

NOTE: Recently, intel graphic driver was updated
I am planning to utlize DDU to completely remove the current Intel graphics driver, and then reinstall the intel driver again

I would appreciate any help with further testing or diagnosing the issue.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but ran inital Lenovo Memory Self Repair

Please perform the following steps:



1) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link





2) Reinstall these drivers from the Lenovo website:

a) igfxn igfxn c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\iigd_dch.inf_amd64_784462443b99f1c5\igdkmdn64.sys

Intel Management Engine Software for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (Version 21H2 or later) - ThinkPad


b) Intel GPU drivers:




3) The BIOS Version/Date LENOVO N3YET77W (1.42 ), 4/16/2025

Upgrade the BIOS: 1.42 > 1.44





4) Run the Lenovo UEFI hardware diagnostics > take pictures > post images or share links displaying the tests performed with results






5) Run Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes > take pictures > post images or share links

Just 1 error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

The more the passes the better the testing conditions.

It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to detect malfunctioning RAM.

The RAM can be tested all at one time or one at a time in the same DIMM.

1.) Attached the Tuneup logs for review
2.) a. Successfully reinstalled the IME
b. GPU driver reinstalled
3.) Done, BIOS upgrade to 1.44

As for #4 and #5, I will perform these test tomorrow as it's getting late.

Step 4 > plan to run overnight while sleeping or when there is downtime.

Step 5 > plan to run overnight while sleeping and during the next day so that there is greater than 8 passes

5. Ran the Memtest, completed 11 passes, no errors detected.

I had mixed up the steps, once I found it was performing the second pass Memtest86, but so far everything has passed including UEFI diagnostics tests
