BSOD randomly

Hi - I am getting random BSOD for last month or so. I have tried updating all my drivers with driver easy. The only one that wont update was NVIDIA A2000 driver. I removed the driver for the GPU and reinstalled from lenovo support . Also I have performed Windows Update today ( after the log collector).
Any ideas much appreciated.

Please perform the following steps:


1) Uninstall all drivers that were installed using third party software

(It's best to install drivers displayed on the Lenovo website)



2) If there is any uncertainty about the drivers installed by third party software then perform a system restore that predates the installation of the drivers and third party software

5) Run HD Tune (free or trial version) (all drives)

a) Health
b) Benchmark
c) Full error scan



6) Run Sea Tools for Windows Long Generic test:



Post images or share links for results of the Sea Tools Long Generic tests.



7) Run Memtest86 (free version) overnight while sleeping


The computer has 4 RAM modules (32 GB each) = 128 GB

If you're unable to run Memtest86 continuously for several days then all RAM modules can be removed and labeled.

Then test one RAM module at a time in the same DIMM.

Take pictures > post images or share links into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

Memtest86 has a feature to create text / html reports.

If possible, please include the reports with the images in the share links.



8) These steps / tests can run overnight while sleeping:

a) HD Tune full error scan
b) Sea Tools for Windows long generic test
c) Memtest86



9) Reinstall from the Lenovo website:

Tuneup plus results were OK.

The computer is now optimally configured for creating mini and memory dump files.

If there are any BSOD they are less likely to be missed as automatically restart was turned off.
BSOD should now display a window with error message and : ( until there is a manual restart.

Hi Memory test in this folder - they seemed ok.
I did get anther BSOD yesterday (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT)

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

Hi - The MEMORY.dmp file appears to be from November 2022 - so I assume you were after a more recent one? Also its 5GB

The reports posted were not the typical images or reports posted into the forum.

How many RAM modules were tested simultaneously?
Where is the image of the final test result?

Hi - I used the Pro Version and I think I saved all the outputs to file . I can try and run again over the weekend to see if I can get anything different out. There were more files but they appeared to be duplicated (i have uploaded those too). There are 4 modules of 32GB each.

Rarely are members using the pro version.
What was the test run time for the four 32 GB RAM modules and how many passes were performed?
The report appeared to have only four passes?
Doesn't the pro version perform eight passes?
