Probably..., or, they don't work at all!!!
Use the cable that came with the device, or the manufacturers recommendation.

Don't buy the 99¢ cables from Dollarama!

Me as well. I buy my cables exclusively from Amazon and look for Apple certification. Buying decent cables is, in the long rum, the best value.

Both work depending on your charge adapter (USB-C or A or both)
Supports fast charging, data transfer. They work really well.
Nylon braided so they are very flexible and the lighning point at the end, fits in all of my iPhone cases. Some cable heads are too fat to fit in the case to be connected efficiently to the iPhone.

Check how much an average cable costs. If you find one costing less than half, it is probably not going to last, if it works at all. You have to judge if you rather buy a little more expensive cable or 2-3 of the very cheap ones to change them if anything happens. For USB cables I prefer the second, buy 2-3 cheap ones because the difference is much less than half the average price. For example, an average price for my micro-USB cable (I have an old Android phone) is about 10€. I found cheap ones for 1.5€ each, you get the point. I wouldn't worry if they won't last a year, I will just replace them again. I use them only for charging. I haven't tried to transfer any data yet, but they should not have any issues if I connect them on my powered USB 3.0 hub.

Timmy, right above your last post (post 9) are two cables that I use regularly.

You can keep buying cheap cables and have to buy 20 of them or you can pay a little extra and have them last. You’re actually saving money if you buy better cables. Plus these ones are 6 feet long.

Edit: I am surprised that they are are co cheep in America, I pay more but our dollar is poor.
