Can WD scan a vhd or vhdx file

Hi folks
can WD scan a vhd or vhdx file or does the disk need to be attached as a "Disk" and then you can run WD on the disk -- but if that's a windows install it can take a long time and zillions of files to scan the whole disk for malware

I think you need to mount a .vhd(x). It can scan .wim files though.
