Can you replicate this bug on your Windows 11 PC? (Single Click BREAKS Right Click)

" My first guess is themes..., that anomaly has happened in the past when running Aero-Lite theme..."..........sorry , for my late reply !
Still searching , indeed used themes in the past on Win10 , which I upgraded to 11 !
Now , how to repair / fix it............??
Try choosing a different theme (in our language, you can find these settings at: Instellingen -> Persoonlijke instellingen -> Thema's). Chances are a Win10 theme is still (perhaps in part) active, but not fully compatible with Windows 11.

Wonder if I have to remove the Win10-theme first , before installing a new Win11-theme..........
Or just install over the previous theme ?

FYI to anyone who has access to an old Windows 7 computer or a Windows 7 virtual machine
Back in the Windows 7 days, a user could control every aspect of how his windows install looked; the colors of each portion of a window, borders, active and inactive window, windows background, menus, etc. Now with Windows 11, we don't have a lot of control of a preinstalled or add-on Windows 11 theme nor of a theme we build in 11.

You can use Windows 7 to build a theme to your liking, save the theme, and use it in Windows 11. The only caveat is you have to build your theme using the high contrast template in Windows 7. Once you fine tune it to your liking, apply it in 11. To tweak even further, once it's applied in 11, use Classic Color Panel from Wintools.info

" select theme you want to remove right click and delete "..................upgraded to 11 ( inside 10 ) with a nice wallpaper on it . Do you think the themes will change the look of the context-menu also ?

Hi there
No problems whatsoever unless I've mis-understood the problem.

Got a "Customised theme" with dark context -- works fine with 15 images changing after every 2 mins(changeable) and can be removed at will and re-applied.

Made in W10 but the theme file still installs on a Clean W11 install (as well as working properly from a W10->W11 upgrade.

What a beauty !
Can you give me a link , will try it . Will it change the right-click menus also ? No need for changing the image , want to stay with one nice looking image , with a good and clear contextmenu !
My right-click is very bad ( attachments !) , almost a reason for going back to 10 .
Really dont want to , 11 is very fast and everything works fine , included the software , if I can fix the contextmenu , 11 will be the nicest OS I ever had............

Hi there
@pietcorus2
goede Morgen !!!!

You can select individual non changing image if you prefer - there's 15 in each theme.

Context menus both from task bar and menu right click

Windows version :

If you want applications etc all in dark themes as well select colour and choose dark from the dropdowns

Skjámynd 2022-01-27 095926.png

working perfectly

e.g EXCEL :

Skjámynd 2022-01-27 100350.png

Not sure how to reverse the cells -- I think that's probably within the application as OUTLOOK does it OK

Skjámynd 2022-01-27 100722.png

Found it :

Excel does work as well -- but you have to enable it per workbook - click the inverted triangle at the intersection of cells A,1 and then select background and font colour.

Skjámynd 2022-01-27 112315.png

I'll send a one drive link later-- 2 themes on it

Tot ziens !!! (I work in Brussels regularly so can understand Flemish / Dutch) !!

Cheers

Ook goedemorgen ! Will continue in English , thanks a lot for your great support !
Im using Open Shell for my startmenu , with a transparent taskbar , as you can see in my attachments.
Maybe its interfering with the contextmenus , so I will switch it off and try one of your themes first .

OK !! Problem solved !! A clear and very good looking contextmenu again ............
Indeed , the problem was the previous Win10-themes , from which I upgraded to 11 .
I removed them first , choosed another theme , set colors on light , and ..............booom , OK again !!
Many thanks to all forum-members who helped me solve the problem ( not going back to 10 anymore !) :clap:Nice and clear !.jpgproblem solved !.jpg

No problem here on 22000.469. Is it possible windows 11 no longer detects accidental double clicks and your right mouse button is going bad? Listen closely to the click. Does it sound like the switch bounces some times? The detect accidental double click feature was part of powertoys in MS Plus Pack in 95, TweakUI in 98 and TweakUiPowertoyVer2 in XP. At some point MS added it to OS's by default, Vista? If the snot nosed programmers removed it glitchy mouse switches would surely show up more easily. I'm not saying this is happening but its worth looking at IMO.

I used Shwan`s tut and switched the right click menu, I didn`t like the W11 one at all.
Been great ever since. I just like a list better.
