Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 ( OS Build 22621.963)
Hi folks.

As you can tell from my system specs, I have two disc drives. A 128GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. I am wanting to replace the 128GB SSD with a 500GB SSD I have ordered from Western Digital. Instead of cloning, I was wondering if it is possible to use a rescue disk made with Macrium Reflect Free version (Version 8) to install a backup image of my 128GB SDD drive (stored on the HDD) to the new SDD.
Steps:
1)Remove old SSD and install new SSD)
2)Boot Macrium Rescue DVD
3)Install Windows 11 from Macrium backup image of old 128GB SSD to new 500GB SSD

Questions:
1) Would this work?
2)If it does work, would I be able to resize the partitions if need be?

Thank you.

Anyone reading this thread should check out the above link. Someone else was asking a similar question. Look at the advice this poster received. See especially post #4 about resizing the drive during the restoration process.
