Can your computer be used to hack your phone?

Everything has embedded computers these days, everything is networked. So, can your phone be used to infect your computer?

Most likely possible, Notebooks and some Desktops have Bluetooth [short-range wireless] as well as USB ports. The power cable for phones can be unplugged from the power adapter and used in a USB port to connect the phone and computer to transfer data. Same can affect tablets.

I'd say the android or one of it's many apps can indeed hack a windows device.

I thought so, but why have I never heard of malware propagating like this

It's on the rise, and only gonna get worse!
The more society conducts their lives in cyberspace, the more cyber-criminals will flourish.

A simple search brings up numerous how-to's. Whether they actually work is subjective

Any actual occurrences that anti-malware companies are providing protection for?

Such companies would have advertised that, something like cross-platform protection, along with the ID and the 'resumes' of the cross-platform malware.

Bitdefender Pro provides protection for android devices as part of their full device package, not sure about Crapple as I don't have any use for it, but it may well be supported

I looked at BitDefender's multi device protection for Android, Windows, MacOS, and iOS, but I did not see any protection against any cross-platform threats.

On my LAN are all 4 OSs, and each OS is protected against its own malware, I hope that's adequate.
