Cannot seem to MOVE/COPY files as easily as in the old File Explorer

Golly gosh, like it or not, it now seems l have W11 installed!
It is taking me a little time to work out how some applications now work, but will get there eventually.
I'll also fill out all of my specs as soon as.
However, this question doesn't need any of that at the moment.
I have three hard drives namely C, D, and M.
All of my downloads go to a folder on my C drive cunningly named as Downloads!!!
When l clicked on any of the downloads, then up came File Explorer (W10) which allowed me to Move, Copy, Rename etc so easily with a click of a button.
It just seems different now.
How do l MOVE a file or folder from the C Drive to my M Drive?
If l plug in a USB stick, how do l COPY a file or folder to it?

When you right-click on a file you will get options like this:



The only real difference is that they use icons for some of the more common functions rather than text descriptions like "copy", "cut", etc. These will appear either at the top or bottom of the list of options.

You can also still drag and drop files just as you could in the past.

Also, if you didn't have tabs before you should have that now. (I haven't used Win 10 in a while, so not sure if that feature came to Win 10 or not).

My color scheme is not great so it may be a little difficult to see, but in the screenshot below I have 3 tabs open:



EDIT: I should point out that, just like with a web browser, you can "tear away" tabs in File Explorer to create a separate window. Likewise, you can drag one File Explorer window to the bar on another one to turn that window into another tab on the window to which you are dragging.

Try these two addons to the context menu ...

Unzip, run the .reg files, restart the device

Right click on folder(s)/files(s) > Move to or Copy to > navigate to the destination. Done

For faster copy/move use Teracopy as the default copier (others exist)

The sun doesn't shine out of everything Microsoft ...

To add to what is being said, in the Right Context Menu click the More Options menu to get the Copy, Cut., Paste etc options. If you want to Move a file, you can hold down the Right Click button while dragging the folder to the location you want to move it to and letting go.

Clicked where? In the browser? If so, are you using the same browser that you were using in Windows 10?

Thanks very much everyone for all your help, but l just couldn't hack it!
I have therefore reverted back to W10, and am glad l did this within the 10 days cooling off period.
Now when l go into Explorer, l can move, copy, rename files in just two clicks.
What l will do is delete your W11 forums bookmark and create a new one for the W10 forums.

There is No need to delete your thread, as others ,may learn something.
As for you bookmark, in your browser you also don't need to remove that, unless it bothers you. You are eventually going to be using Windows 11 or 12 when that comes out.
If you follow any of the tutorial links posted in this this thread, like post #5, you can restore the Windows 10 Right click menu. for Copy, Paste etc with 2 clicks

Windows 10 is supported until October 2025.
