Solved Can't access Power settings

I posted about this not so long ago, but never found a solution.
I can access all the Settings options except System > Power - the Settings app will crash when I try this.

Today I used Run > ms-settings: powersleep and got this error (see pic)
SFC and DISM checks show no errors.
I've had this problem for some months now.

Since the error message mentions a filesystem error, the only thing that comes to mind is to open a Command Prompt and type chkdsk /?.

That will show the following options:

Generally, you want to use chkdsk C: /F but you can use any of the available options shown above.

Follow up with SFC and DISM commands once again.

Marked as Solved. The fix for this is to make sure the Sensor service is Enabled in services.msc. Disabling this service will cause the Power settings to crash. Something in a more recent Windows update must've changed the way it works as I've always had that service disabled.

The correct sytax is explorer ms-settings: powersleep

You missed out explorer.

Never got round to trying it, I'll assume it wouldn't as the other methods didn't. The problem has been fixed now

some service listed above needs to be enabled for the settings app power settings to be accessible. the shell power settings should be no matter what unless the core explorer is corrupted
