Solved Can't Connect to This Network

I have a new HP Laptop 17" and have it set up, but no Internet. I have AT&T Fiber Optics high speed and have no problems connecting with my desktop and two other 15" laptops; an HP and a Lenovo.

When I try to connect with the new HP, I get told, "Can't Connect to This Network". I also see "Problem Loading Page". I am not asked to give a password, nor can I find a way to enter one. :-(

I am running Windows 11, and although I haven't loaded much, I'm sure I have been on the Internet with this new machine.

But right now, I'm flummoxed! Anyone know what I've done wrong?\

Under the settings > WiFi page, have you checked Manage Known Networks? Does it show there as saved?
You can Forget it if it is stored, then manually add it

Thank you Sir, but I finally solved it! Don't ask me how it happened; after about 50 tries, I finally have Internet on the new lappy!

I will post in detail what I went through before finally managing to get it right.

After I posted my Internet dilemma, I decided to ask Copilot the question. That was a trip, but I learned a lot!

I think I went through at least six possible solutions, none of which worked. then I kinda got to the end, and Copilot told me it could walk me through to success. I was given a set of questions, which my poor tired brain was going through when something clicked and I did a couple more things. Best I can remember, it was something to do with hardware . . . whatever it was, it worked!

@dacrone I am going to look at your solution to see if it helps me remember what that last couple of clicks did.
