Solved CDBurnerXP stopped working with latest Win 11 update

Haven't unwound the patch, but full Geek uninstall and reinstall. Was trying to burn audio CD and explorer view would not load. Seemed to load okay on Data CD but hadn't anything to burn. Downloaded alternate burning program (AnyBurn) that worked.

Anyone else? Last Audio CD burn was probably within the month. I had the update preview without issue.

There's an outside change something in the update changed that affect that application or, it did not cleanly install. It hasn't been updated since 2019 so there's a chance something happed that caused that app to no longer be compatible with 11. I would uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller Freeware (it's portable app) make sure to let Revo scans for leftover files and registry entries and remove all check the boxes so Revo can remove all it found.

Restart and download a fresh copy of CDBurnerXP. Install it again to see if it makes a difference. If it still fails, right click it's exe file and run as administrator to see if it makes it work. Still no good, try running the app in compatibility mode.

+1 for Revo Uninstaller, it fixed what GeekUninstaller missed. But still no idea why WU fouled it up!
