Change default keyboard on recovery drive USB

Hello everyone,

I've created a recovery USB with and for my laptop. It works, but it presents me with a default keyboard layout of UK-English. That's strange, because I haven't selected a UK-English layout on the laptop. Is it possible to change the first keyboard layout on the list presented by the recovery drive to US-International, without making a new recovery drive?

Well, I ran into a problem. I tried mounting the WIM file on the recovery disk with

DISM /Mount-Wim /WimFile:"E:\sources\Reconstruct.WIM" /Index:1 /Mountdir:c:\wimdir /Optimize

and got to 97 %, after which DISM reported

Error: 4393
The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid.

and stopped. Actually, there are 4 WIM files on the recovery disk, with the same name and extensions WIM, WIM2, WIM3 and WIM4 respectively, and all cause DISM to report this error. I don't know what the error means. I can't find anything useful on the 'Net about it; comments all refer to a seemingly different error with the same text, caused by OneDrive. For the moment, I'm stuck. Ideas, anyone?

I use the recovery USB to be able to boot up a PC when there's something wrong with its boot disk. If need be, I can use it to put back a backup from an external disk, connected via another USB port. Is that an answer to your question?
