This tutorial will show you how to set the duration for recordings you start for gaming captures for your account in Windows 11.

The Xbox Game Bar app is built into Windows 11 so you can record games to capture videos and screenshots while playing PC games. You can press the Windows :win: + Alt + R keys to toggle the start and stop recording of your game.

You can choose the maximum recording time of 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours (default), or 4 hours for a clip so that it automatically stops recording and saves when it reaches that length.

Game clips (recordings) will save as a MP4 file to your account's %UserProfile%\Videos\Captures folder by default.

Hello,

Currently only by manually clicking on the "Stop Recording" button afterwards. :(

Thanks for the fast replay. I'm also wondering if it's possible to save an arbitrarily long instant replay (the "Record what happened" function)? I probably should make a new post or something so feel free to delete this message.
