Since this is the DIY Builds and Motherboards section I thought I would share here. If there is a more appropriate place to post this please inform me and I will comply.
Recently a dear friend of mine passed and I inherited a great deal of PC BUILDER materials, PCs, laptops, electronic components, tools, hard drives, silicon of all sorts, and the list goes on. Some here have asked me to post pictures but there is so much stuff that I thought I would start a thread to feature it. I am by no means attempting to sell any of it but some of the things are a bit of a curiosity and frankly, I don't even know what many of these devices are specifically.
Jim was a PC builder. He was also an IT. He dabbled in forensics and data recovery. He was keen on RC vehicles and had several hobbies. He was very big on Physics. We were friends, well, in a way more like brothers. He was the brother I never had. I miss him dearly. He was the one who inspired me to start building my own PCs about 27 years ago. The man was brilliant. When he passed it was decided that the computer end of his belongings went to me. Apparently Jim talked about me a lot and the people who tended to him decided this was best.
Well now my life is a little topsy-turvy with all this newly acquired stuff (some of it quite ancient) and I'm trying to sort it all out. Perhaps some here will be able to help me identify some of it. Perhaps some might give me a better idea what to do with some of it. My entire basement is full of tech now. I'm literally wading through the stuff. I'm hoping this thread might be both educational and informative. Jim got me and he got me good. I sometimes envision him with the angels laughing at me while I sort through all of this.

I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
