Chrome Standard or Enterprise Install

I see the standard Chrome installer installs in the app folder for each user. Is it better to use the Chrome Enterise installer for PCs having muliple accounts? See Enterprise Browser Download for Windows & Mac - Chrome Enterprise

How is Chrome browser for the enterprise different from the consumer Chrome browser?
The Chrome browser for the enterprise, sometimes referred to as Chrome Enterprise, is the same Chrome browser used by consumers. The difference is in how the browser is deployed and managed. Downloading the Chrome Enterprise Bundle, IT administrators can install the Chrome browser via MSI, and manage their organization’s Chrome browsers via group policy to enforce over 200+ policies. If you use the advanced security-focused Chrome Enterprise Premium it is a paid subscription service, costing approximately $6 per user per month.

So I guess it depends whether or not you want to let each user manage his own Chrome settings.

Users can have their own settings, history, etc with Chrome Enterprise. It just gets installed in Program Files instead of the user’s profile, so you have one install of Chrome per machine.

That’s how Chrome used to install. Why did Google change it?

I dunno; probably because you don’t need admin rights to install in the user profile? Just guessing.
